Blue Lagoon #Day9

Today we didn't have to get up and go anywhere so we slept into 8am. We had a very slow start to the morning sunbaking and reading.

At 2:30 we went for our Village Visit, only a 10minute boat trip away.

It was amazing to see how a traditional village looked and functioned. The village has 400 people who live there and it has a Chief and a Spokesperson.

We walked through the village looking at all the different kind of buildings. We went into the church where the Choir sang some songs for us.

From here we went to this large building where there was about 20 people singing and dancing for us. They presented all of us with flower necklaces. We got up and danced with them too!

They women set up a marked for us to buy souvenirs.

Then we went to the school where the boarding house children sang songs for us. The school is 70 years old and has students from all 4 schools on the yasawa islands.
The kids here are just way too cute!!

After 3 hours at the village we arrived back in time for tonight's sunset.
Tonight's dinner was a BBQ buffet. We ate wayyy too much and had an early night.
