Cinque Terre, Italy #Day69

What an insane day!
So we got up in the morning to see the best view point in Genoa.
You could take a cable car up but it wasn't running today so we walked!
Fantastic view~ could see everything!
We raced back down to get our luggage and made the journey back to the train station.
We just managed to get on the 10 o'clock train towards Le Spezia! Our stop was Riomaggiore.

Cinque Terre translates to: 'Five Lands'
Five amazing villages, full of colourful buildings, built along the Italian Rivera. Most picturesque place!

The villages from North to South are: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore.

We are staying in the middle town Corniglia :)
Our train went to Riomaggiore where we got off to catch the slower train back up North to Corniglia.
The train was delayed so it took a lot longer then we thought!
We finally arrived at Corniglia, to find a million stairs up the cliff!
(View from the top looking down to the station)~
There was no way we could make it up so luckily there was a bus which took us into the middle of the village.
From there we had to find our hotel. That part was relatively easy but we then had another 400 odd stairs to go up!
But we made it! Whooo
We were pooped!!!!
Awesome view on out terrace~
Exploring Corniglia~
Unfortunately most of the walking tracks between the villages are closed so we got on a train to Vernazza. We bought two tickets each and managed to get on the carriage with the inspector on it whete she fined us as we didn't scan the ticket before we got on!!!
Fabulous
Anyway, Vernazza was beautiful!!!!
Everyone was enjoying the sun, lounging around the rocks~
And so was I!
We were going to keep travelling along North to Monterosso but unfortunatley the wait in between trains was just to long and we didn't have enough time :(
Tomorrow we will see Moanarola and Riomaggiore before heading to Pisa!
