Shanghai
We left the hotel at 7:45.
We traveled to the Bund which is by the river side where all the young couples meet. We had an hour here to walk around. Shanghai is so beautiful and clean with amazing gardens.
Then we went to a giant indoor market to practice our bartering skills! We bought some scarfs, tea and a backpack. I got a really nice quality waterproof backpack down from 800yuan to 120yuan ($24)!
Then we went to lunch.
After lunch we went to the French Quarter. It just started to rain so went to a small museum.
Then we headed off on the bus to catch the Bullet train which will take us to Beijing. It is very strict security and we aren't aloud to take aerosol. Here we said goodbye tour guide Darren and the master driver, which was sad! We will meet a new guide in Beijing.
The train travelled around 340kms/h but still took 5 hours so we arrived in Beijing late, about 10pm and headed to our new hotel at 11:30pm. Our hotel is North of the city in the countryside.
We went straight to sleep to get some rest for a big day tomorrow!
