Patong Beach #Day1

Heading into the humidity, we started off our first day with our hotels buffet breaky! Yummo! Luckily the time difference is only 4 hours behind so it wasn’t hard waking up, especially with all this food awaiting!
We had a wander around the resort, exploring the levels until we reached the rooftop and amazing views.
(For some reason our room is off to the other side of the reception, on street level not apart of the main building you see below)

View of the pool:

After breaky we went for a walk along the beach and around the shops until we found one of Laura’s favourite massage places. Just $8 aud for a 1hr Foot Massage! Don’t mind if I do!

After our massage we grabbed our towels and sunscreen and headed for the busy beach. We hired a beach chair and umbrella to soak up some sun!

From the beach we headed to the pool! Haha

We swam over to the swim up bar for happy hour!

Then to fill in time before dinner we went back for a full body oil massage-(its a rough life being on holidays). It was quite hard not to laugh when the little old Thai lady was climbing over my back making funny noises!

We had dinner by one of the many beach side restaurants, watching the sunset:

I had to get my hands on some traditional Thai food right away so I ordered the Pad Thai. Laura had Massaman Curry. It was delicious! (and only $12 each for our drink and meal)
For desert I had this amazing Ice cream from a food cart, made on the spot:
Vanilla and Nutella

We went for a quick walk down the crazy nightlife of Bangla Road:

Now for bed, listening to the crazy thunderstorms outside.
