Blue Lagoon #Day8

This morning we went to some Caves called Sawa I lau caves! It was a 30 minute boat trip from our resort. They were beautiful!

The first one was open in sunlight but the second one you had to dive under water, under the rock, hold your breathe and follow the torch light and then the guy would tap you on the head when you could come up safely! Then it was completely dark on the other side. The guide started banding on the side of the cave which made a loud booming noise just to freak us out! It was a little spooky haha but I'm proud of my self for diving under.

Fearless Laura followed the guide with 1 other person, rock climbing up the side of the inside of the cave. She appeared about 15 minutes later on the other side really high up!
They crawled through tiny spots. The guide called it the pregnancy test because you had to crawl through such a small space!

When we got back we went for a walk and saw so many beautiful flowers.

After lunch we went stand up paddle boarding! It was the first time I'd ever tried it and to my surprise I didnt fall in once!

We spent the rest of the afternoon swimming and sunbaking. Had a lovely nap too.
The snorkeling isnt very great off the beach. Although there is a large reef, most of the coral is dead from the tourist and the water is really churned up from the boats.

We watched such a beautiful sunset tonight. Every other night had been too overcast.

Once it was dark we went for a night snorkel! It was cool to see the reef in the dark but hard to see things even with the guide pointing things out. The coolest thing was seeing the bioluminescence! That was incredible. We did see some fish, squid, shrimp, worms, Indian starfish and a stingray!

After dinner we watched crab racing that raised money for the local community.
