 Last day in Berlin!

We went to an outlet for 'Ritter Sport' chocolate. My favourite chocolate ever! Comes in heaps of different types, ate far too much of it! Hah (Don't worry Dad, I've got 4 mini blocks in my suitcase I'm bringing home)

Berlin's highest natural point~in Victoria Park~

With a waterfall running the length of the hill~ 

'Buddy Bears'~ a series of painted life size bears found all around Berlin! Here's a few below~ 

We caught a late train home back to Alinas place~ 

Reunited with Kirsten!

We braved the weather again today and caught trains and buses all over the city to see these attractions~ 

Siegessäule~ a monument in the middle of a round about. It is nick named the star because of the 5 streets around it~ 

Straße des 17. Juni ~

Castle Bellevue (house of the president)~

Cathedral of Berlin~

Island of museums~

The DDR Museum~ 

An interactive museum describing the life of the people who lived in the GDR~

Memorial to the murded Jews~ (array of concrete slabs)~

Olympia stadium~ 

Back to the hotel ~

Berlin, Germany #Day44

Another freezing cold day here in Berlin! 

I am loving all the art everywhere~

We went to a Jewish Museum 'Judisches Museum Berlin' ~

It was really quite daunting walking over the faces, the iron made a loud clinking noise that ecoded every time you took a step~ 

On a happier note we wrote 'a wish' on an apple shapped piece of paper and attached it to this tree~

Somebody's wish~'I wish that the weather were better today!' 

My thoughts exactly haha 

Then we made our way to 'Check Point Charlie' just a couple of minutes walk down the road~

Later on in the night we meet up with our friend, Mo who we met the night before at the hostel!~

Such a nice friendly person, with an amazing story.

He is actually a refugee from Seria. It was phenomenal to hear his journey to escape, his terrifying boat trip. And so sad to hear how he had to leave his 5 sisters and parents behind. He hasn't seen in 3 years :( it was absolutely heart breaking. 

Makes me realise how lucky I truly am to live such a privallage life.
