Jaipur #Day5

Day 5: Sunday the 10th of November

Jaipur city tour.
First we went to the Wind Palace which had 900 windows!
We could quickly stop for 10 minutes to grab a photo. How amazing.

Then we went to Amber Fort. It is set high up the mountain with fort like walls which reminded me so much of the Great Wall of China. We got in Jeeps to take us all the way up the stone roads to the top. It was incredible! Everything was so amazing with the most beautiful paintings on every surface. We saw courtyards and gardens with beautiful views.
From here we went to a Astronomical observatory, 1 of 5 in the city.
It has the worlds biggest sun dail and tells you the time for every 2 seconds.

We went to a jewelers where they showed as all the different stones and we looked at the beautiful jewelry. They also fed as samosas and rum!

Then we ventured to the City Palace. The royal family still lives in one side of the palace while the other half is open to the public as a museum.
Look at these incredible doors!

Afterwards we went to a fabric/carpet place where they showed as the process of fabric printing and then making rugs. We saw how the camel hair is individual tied by hand and cut, then it is shaven down, burnt and washed. To make a large carpet it takes 2 people about 22 months!!
We went back to the hotel for a short break before going to our extra activity- a cooking class!

Unfortunately the cooking class wasnt very hands on but more like, watch your dinner being cooked ahha but it was still delicious! We had:
Daal
Cottage Cheese (paneer) Masala
Chicken masala (butter chicken)
Aloo (lemon potatoes)

After we watched a super cute puppet show!
