Patong Beach #Day13

Our last full day in Phuket! 

We had breakfast and went to our favourite massage place where we had booked in our favourite people! 

We went to the sun lounges at the beach where we actually bought a few things from the many people walking past selling items. 

We bought jewlery, smoothies and a heena tattoo: 

We had dinner at our favourite restaurant! We have been here so much the waiters all know us now. 

We went for another Oil Massage and finished off our shopping. 

We headed back to the resort to go up to the rooftop bar to see the view: 

Rok Island #Day12

We decided to go with the company Loveandaman again because they were great when we went to Surin Islands.  

We were waiting from 6 and got picked up at 6:30 arriving at the pier by 7:15, a quick trip! 

We left on the speed boat at 8:30 for a 2 hour ride to our first stop, Rok Island! You had had the choice to stay on the boat to do snorkelling,  or get off at the pier to spend the next hour on the beach. 

Of course we went snorkelling! 

It was super choppy and hard to stay afloat but the snorkelling was still amazing! 

We headed back to Rok Island to meet up with the rest of the group. We had 2 hours here to explore and have lunch. We could see hermit crabs parading along the beaches and found lots of swings! 

We departed from Rok Island and headed half an hour to the main snorkelling paradise, Haa Island. 

It was incredible here! 

It was so much calmer and you could snorkel right up to the side of the cliffs where the veal crept right up the side. We could get so close to all the fish. It was such a perfect way to end our last snorkelling opportunity. 

We arrived back at 6:30 for some dinner and off to sleep. 

Phi Phi Island #Day11

Phi Phi Island has got to be the most popular Island to visit near Phuket thanks to its beautiful scenery. 

So typical me woke up with what I’m pretty sure was gastro this morning. I took some medication and spent the taxi ride there absolutely dying thinking there was no way I was possibly getting on that speed boat. 

Then miraculously, I started to feel a bit better! I planted myself at the very back of the boat and struggled on the 1 hour trip to the island as it was pretty choppy. I spent the day a bit out of it but was grateful because I could have been a lot worse!

Above is Monkey Bay, we didn’t go on shore (for insurance reasons) but could see a couple of monkeys from the boat. 

We stopped in the ocean for some snorkeling. Not many people went in because it is more of a sight seeing tour and about half the boat couldn’t actually swim!

People were amazed that we jumped off the front of the boat with no life jacket and no flippers. 

The visability was unfortunately really poor and there were sea urchins everywhere so we had to be so careful not to step on them. 

Then there was this freaky black fish swimming all over us, first following Laura then went on my leg and I swiped it off and felt it all slimey along my hand! Haha it would not get off me so I swam to the boat just when they decided to throw food in right near my head so hundreds of these yellow fish surrounded me and splashed in my face! 

Let’s just say I got out shortly after hahah

Next stop, Phi Phi Dong for lunch:

We went by the Viking Caves: 

And Loh Samah Bay for some great photos. 

Then we arrived at the ever so famsous, Maya Bay: 

We crossed to the other side for a viewpoint: 

There was a rope ladder to scramble down, with heaps of crabs at the bottom! 

We travelled 45minutes to Khai Island for an hour of swimming before heading only 30 minutes back to Phuket Island. 

We arrived back at 6pm, way earlier than all our other trips!

Then a 1 hour foot massage before crepes and bed. 

Tomorrow we are leaving at 6am for our last Island trip to Koh Rok! 

Patong Beach #Day10

We had our usual day today, buffet breaky

Went for a massage then booked two final snorkeling trips! 

Phi Phi islands for tomorrow (Saturday) and Koh Rok Island on Sunday. Very excited! 

We went to the lounge chairs on the beach and had a swim and came back to the pool for the rest of the arvo. 

We headed to the night markets for dinner and our last shopping hall! 

We get a sleep in until 7am tomorrow as Phi Phi islands is down South and therefore closer to where we are staying! 

We are going to monkey island, sea caves, maya bay and of course more snorkeling! 

Surin Islands #Day9

What a day! Over 8 hours of travelling but so worth it! 

We got picked up at 6am and arrived at the private pier at 8am. Here we checked in and had a super nice breaky! 

We got introduced to our guides and had a quick debrief. Our guide’s name was Zach, who was hilarious informing us to keep an eye out for mermaids! 

It was over a 2 hour boat road there, further than Similan Islands. 

Our first stop was straight to the reef! The underwater world was spectacular! We were lucky that the water was shallow and clear so we could get up really close to the fish but you had to be so careful not to step on the coral!

We travelled 5 minutes around the corner to our second snorkelling location for another hour of snorkelling whohoo! 

Then we went to Surin National Park for lunch: 

We had 1 and half hours to explore the island. Absolutely beautiful and barley anyone around! So peaceful. 

We travelled to our third snorkelling location which was just as amazing as the other ones. So great to have three opportunities to jump in the water! Was pooped by the end cauz we didn’t have any flippers! 

Just when we thought we were all finished for the day, they took us to visit the Morgan Village to explore the traditional lifestyles of the communal people. Here lives 4 generations of people. 

At 3:30 we headed back to the mainland. 

We had some ice-cream and fried rice for dinner and hoped into the taxi to take us the long journey home. 

This tour was so much nicer and smoother running than the other company we went with! Surin Island was a million times quieter than Similan which made so much of a difference. 

Was such a perfect day!
