Rome, Italy #Day78

Roma! 

We decided to go on a walking tour to try get a grasp on this amazing city~ as usual, so much to see, so little time~ 

The Pantheon!~

Piazza Navona~

St Peters~

Roman ruins!~

Absolutely incredible! 

Ruins of shops, houses, churches & more~ 

And inside the Colosseum! Whooho!

The sand coloured platform is where the original floor of the arena would have stood. Further along you can see what lay under the floor which was rooms that the gladiators would prepare in and where they would keep animals and any props~ 

Tomorrow we are going into the Vatican City!

Arrivederci Florence! 

Buongiorno Rome! 

We caught a fast train taking just under 2 hours which was awesome but it took us forevvver to find we were staying! 

We are staying really close to the Vatican City so it is a bit of a hike back into the city! 

We raced back in to check out some big sights~ 

Basilica Di Santa Maria Maggiore~

And of course, 

The Colosseum!!! 

It's incredible!

(You can see people standing on it cleaning which gives you an indication of how giant it is!)

We threw a coin in and made a wish!

The Spanish Steps!~ 

unfortunately under going maintenance so we couldn't walk up then~   

It was getting late so we headed back to the hotel ~

Tomorrow will be a huge day!
