Positano, Italy #Day82

A day trip to Positano! 

Positano is this amazing town next to the ocean just a 40 minute bus trip from Sorrento~ 

This is my new favourite place! It's so beautiful and full of character~ 

We were on cloud 9 venturing through the tiny streets, making our way down to the beach~ 

Everywhere you look there's something worth taking a photo of~

The beach~ 

It was a windy day and the water sprayed into the air so high!~

There was absolutely no one around ~ in summer this place would be packed! 

Cutest little stray cats everywhere~ 

The bus trip there and back was a thrill! Such tiny, windy roads and a huge drop off the side of the cliff!~

Then we came back to Sorrento~ 

We stayed and had a proper look around as last night we only saw it quickly in darkness~ 

Then we went the quick 2 train stops back to Piano to our hotel just before it bucketed rain! 

Tomorrow we head back to Rome for our flight the following day! 

Pompeii, Italy #Day81

A day in Pompeii!!

Pompeii, along with many villages in the surrounding area, was mostly destroyed and buried under 4 to 6 m of ash in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD! 

This place was absolutely amazing to see and so much larger then I was expecting! You could spend hours trying to see it all~ 

Afterwards we went to Sorrento~

All the Christmas decorations were up! 

We met up with our Canadian friend who we met in Germany which was really nice!~

Sorrento, Italy #Day80

Today we left Rome and travelled to Napels by train. From Naples we caught a train towards Sorrento where we got off just before in a town close by called~Piano! 

I am in love with our hotel! 

It's called 'The Secret Garden'~ this is what you see when you walk in~

It's just the cutest place! 

Just a couple of minutes walk down the road and we are by the sea~ 

It's a quite little town~

so nice to be away from the crazy crowds in Florence and Rome! 

Tomorrow we are heading to Pompeii :)

It is exactly 1 week untill we fly home!
