Rome, Italy #Day77

Arrivederci Florence! 

Buongiorno Rome! 

We caught a fast train taking just under 2 hours which was awesome but it took us forevvver to find we were staying! 

We are staying really close to the Vatican City so it is a bit of a hike back into the city! 

We raced back in to check out some big sights~ 

Basilica Di Santa Maria Maggiore~

And of course, 

The Colosseum!!! 

It's incredible!

(You can see people standing on it cleaning which gives you an indication of how giant it is!)

We threw a coin in and made a wish!

unfortunately under going maintenance so we couldn't walk up then~   

It was getting late so we headed back to the hotel ~

Tomorrow will be a huge day! 

Florence, Italy #Day76

Today was our last day in Florence! 

Had a chilled day, walked around the shops, soaking up the last of everything~ 

Getting gelati from my favourite place~ 

Best homemade ice-cream in Florence! Would highly recommend 

Fact: Gelato was invented in Florence 

Tomorrow we are of to...

Rome!! How exciting! 

Florence, Italy #Day75

Today we bought a ticket to see 5 of the main attractions/activities in Florence! 

It was a beautiful day and so busy as it's the weekend! 

1st off~ Climbing the Dome! 

The view at the top was incredible~

Although the stairs were a bit tricky with so many people and only one way to get up and down! Yikes!

2nd~ Santa Reparata~ 

This is actually the original Cathedral which they built on top of!~ 

3rd~ Museum~ 

containing works by Michelangelo~

4th~ The Baptistry~

5th~ The Bell Tower~

Wouldn't want to be claustrophobic that's for sure! 

We had a Panini (pretty much a sandwich) at the best place, such friendly people and got to taste the cheese and meats and then you picked which one you liked! Yummo
