Jachenau, Germany #Day57

We picked up our hire car this morning changing from this awesome smart car to a car covered in stickers as it has winter tires on it which we need to drive in the mountains! 

But oh well, we set around the Salzburg lake region, doing a circuit around the lake~ passing Fuschl, St Gilgen & Mondsee~ 

It was incredible.

And then we drove back across to Germany! 

So we were in Czech yesterday morning, Austria this morning and Germany for the afternoon! 3 countries in 2 days! 

Arrived in Jachenau~ 

Our accomodation for the night~ 

A tiny little town with no one around~ just us, the mountains~

Salzburg, Austria #Day56

We left Cesky Krumlov bright and early catching a bus for 30 minutes up to Ceske Budejovice.

From here we caught a train for 2 and a half hours to Linz, Austria where we waited for an hour for our next train~

Finally we caught the fast train taking just 1 hour & 15 minutes, arriving in Salzburg!

Salzburg the home of Mozart and The Sound of Music! 

With just a few hours of daylight left we raced into the old town to check out some sights~

First up~ Mirabellsgardens~
